Occupational Therapist, graduated (HES – Lausanne), Olivier Gavin is interested very early in the individual, whether in the helping relationship, but also through the expression and expression of his being through artistic practices. He likes to understand the individual in his system, proposing means allowing each and everyone to access greater autonomy on the path to their well-being. Always passionate about images and their symbols, creativity, and the world of childhood, Olivier Gavin ceases his work as an occupational therapist at the Geneva Cantonal Hospital to embark on a five-year artistic course at the Geneva School of Fine Arts (HEAD) (plastic arts, sculpture, drawing and pedagogy). He will complete his degree in art therapy in London (Goldsmith University).Back in Geneva, for three years, he followed training in neurosensory integration. Olivier Gavin has worked in institutional settings with adults, children and adolescents (Geneva University Hospital, Office Médico Pédagogique, CESCO, Clinique La Métairie, etc.).
Along this period of time, he understood how closely the child is linked to his family system, whatever it may be. In this sense, he also trained in a systemic approach to the couple and the families for three years. During his years of reading experience, various training and personal experiences, Olivier Gavin realised how willpower alone is not enough for healing. The powers of the mind, the imagination, nature and all spirituality are at work in a process of change and healing. In this sense, Olivier Gavin trained in classic hypnosis then as a master practitioner in Ericksonian hypnosis and other training in this field.
He has been practising the hypnotic art for fifteen years with renewed happiness. On objective basis, it favours a holistic and multisensory approach, oriented around the creative potential of each individual and their personal resources. For him, hypnosis is the royal path to this process. He frequently collaborates with the family, doctors,, but also teachers, psychologists and other therapists. Always guided by his intuitive, sensitive and multisensory approach and a practice integrating olfactory hypnosis, Olivier Gavin is presently completing training as an herbalist. He is supporting children, adolescents, young adults and adults, through hypnosis consultations, occupational therapy or parental coaching and organising courses and training courses.
