Yoga is a holistic practice that combines physical postures, breathing exercises, meditation, and ethical principles to promote overall well-being. The yoga practice is often practiced for its physical benefits, such as improving flexibility, strength, and balance, but it also has mental and emotional benefits, including stress reduction, improved focus, and greater mindfulness.
At Inner Peace we are sensitive to the Sanskrit meaning of “yoga” which itself means “union” or “to join”, suggesting the union of the body, mind, and spirit.
Practice at our Center and go Inward following these type of yoga :
1. Vinyasa Yoga: A dynamic, flowing style that links breath with movement. It’s often faster-paced and offers a good workout
2. Yin Yoga: A slow-paced practice where postures are held for extended periods to target deep connective tissues. It’s very meditative and restorative.
3. Kundalini Yoga: Combines physical movement with breath control, chanting, and meditation to awaken spiritual energy within the body.
4. Yoga for kids: A fun and engaging version of traditional yoga designed specifically for children. It focuses on physical movements, breathing exercises, and mindfulness, all adapted to be age-appropriate and playful. The goal is to help children develop strength, flexibility, emotional regulation, and focus, while also fostering a sense of calm and relaxation.
5. Prenatal Yoga: A specialized form of yoga designed to support the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of pregnant women. It combines gentle yoga poses (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), and relaxation techniques tailored to the specific needs of expectant mothers during pregnancy. Prenatal yoga helps manage pregnancy-related discomfort, prepare the body for labor, and promote relaxation and stress reduction.
